Oak Street Dance Studio presents their 11^th Annual Pillow Concert on April 26 & 27,  featuring the Moment In Time Dance Company, directed by Roz Schrodt. Moment In Time (MIT) has produced powerful, provocative works such as Origins, Wrap, and Shiva Dances. Reflecting on the war, Roz is restaging “The Wind That Shakes The Barley”.

In this years’ concert MIT will premiere two new dances; Passages and Seven/Eight.

Joining Moment In Time in this Spring Concert will be Priscilla Quinby, Lizz LoPresti, Vanessa Nowitzky, and many fabulous musician friends. Priscilla Quinby  will introduce some of Ashland’s newest dancers  in works she has choreographed for the Ashland High School Dance Department. Lizz LoPresti’s contact Improvisation Performing Group will be performing “In Your Dreams”, and has long been a favorite at OSDS. Vanessa Nowitsky Group’s “Sing The Body” will present a unique  mixture of movement  with vocal expression.

The dancers this year will be joined by original songs from singer-songwriter Gene Burnettt, among others, to be announced. This hour long program merges high level, local artistry with elegant, cutting edge dance.

We invite you to an evening of Dance and Music in an intimate, warm, informal atmosphere. Join us!

Come early for  a seat or bring a pillow for your comfort. Tickets are available on a first come-first serve basis.
