hardware cafe on A street (340 A street) allows our dog Bear in depending on how other customers feel. Most of the time he's welcome in there, but sometimes people object, so he gets the boot and waits outside. |

This is good information. Normally I keep my dog tied up to the meter outside, but, if they allow him in, great. Locals are really pet friendly, and my dog does not mind being outside the cafe. |

Regarding pet friendly restaurants, I think as long as the owner, manager and patrons are ok with pets being around it's fine. But who is responsible if someone's pet freaks out and attacks others? Wouldn't the owner (of the business) be burdended with much of the liability in a hypothetical mishap? |

@Ned: That's why only Service Animals are allowed in restaurants.......the burden is on the handler and possibly the school that trained the dog. |
